We decided to have a quiet 4th of July this year. We started the morning by going to the Train Museum to see the steam engine. The kids were even able to ring the bell!
After the Train Museum, we went for yogurt at Mmmmm yogurt.
and then the sugar kicked in . . .
The kids played outside on the slip-in-slide and pool and then we barbecued hamburgers and ate homemade ice cream. After dinner we dipped marshmallows in chocolate and popped popcorn for the firework display.
We didn't feel like fighting crowds so we set up camp behind our house. It was a perfect spot.
