Halloween

The kids had such a fun day at school and couldn't wait to go trick-or-treating that night.  For dinner, we had mummy dogs, roasted carrots and Butterbeer (from Harry Potter).  The kids loved it especially Olivia!

Drink:  2 liter Cream Soda  and Jar Butterscotch syrup

Topping:  1 cup Heavy cream and 1 jar Marshmallow creme

We froze the drink so it was more like a slushy.

After dinner, we met up with one of our friends and went trick or treating.  The kids filled their buckets and we called it good!

School Parade and Parties

On Halloween, the kids were able to dress up in their costumes and participate in a parade at school.

Hannah's class had a buffet of Halloween food.  After they filled their plates they watch Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin.  They went trick or treating around the classrooms and made cute Spider Hats.  At the end of the party, their teacher read them a Halloween book.  Hannah loved every minute of it.

Parker had fun at his party too.  He decorated sugar cookies, made a Halloween craft and then his teacher planned a bunch of games outside for the kids to play.

Cute little Livie playing on the playground before we left.

Corley's Ranch and Trunk or Treat

To celebrate Nevada Day, we went to Corley's Ranch (the local pumpkin patch) in Gardnerville.  There were so many things to do the kids didn't know where to start.
 Parker found the perfect pumpkin

 ...so did Livie.

Random Pictures

Despicable Me cupcakes for choir.  I saw these on pinterest and had to make them.  They were actually pretty easy to put together.
 My Busy Butterfly
Olivia is busy all the time.  During the month of October, I store the container of costumes in my room and the kids can dress up whenever they want when they're home.  Olivia put on her butterfly costume and was busily working until she crashed on her owl chair.  She looked so cute fast asleep with her wings on!
Hannah's adorable fall fashion
and then there's Olivia's . . . she came shuffling down the hallway in my highest heels ready to take the kids to school.  She's wearing her shirt backwards and Hannah's skirt.
Beautiful pictures of our weather the last few days

Halloween Piano Recital

For our Halloween Recital, we played at the Carson Valley Assisted Living Center.  All the students dressed up and played Halloween songs for all the elderly.  They all did such a great job!
Hannah played "Ghost!"  She memorized it very quickly and then played it (I'm sure) over 100 times.  She loved it's creepy melody.

Parker played "Star Wars" and dressed up like a Jedi.
