Mor mor and Pa came to visit for Easter weekend. Pa and the kids started the weekend off by jumping on the blow-up bed. Actually, they're deflating it. But it sure looks like they were having a fun time doing it!
Saturday morning we went to my friends house for an Egg hunt and brunch. It was so fun and relaxing. The food was yummy and all the kids had a great time playing in the backyard and searching for eggs.

Olivia loved this slide! I may have to get her one...
After the egg hunt we went home and dyed Easter eggs. We tried a few things from pinterest but honestly, the eggs that turned out the best were the ones that we did old-school.
This year I wanted to focus on the true meaning of Easter so the week before Russ and I told the kids the complete Easter story from the (GAK). Each night we built on the story and explain what each picture meant. We then posted the pictures in the hallway so the kids could look at the story when they walked up and down the hallway. We even had them tell us the story. I was so happy that it clicked with them!
Saturday night we wanted to eat food from Jesus time. Russ BBQ lamb for the main dish.
Cute picture of Dad and Olivia enjoying the nice weather as they waited for dinner.
We also had flatbread, dried dates stuffed with walnuts, roasted carrots, deviled eggs with hummus, olives and grape juice.
Easter MorningWe had an early Easter morning since our church started at 9:00 a.m. The kids woke up and found their baskets and all the eggs the Easter Bunny hid for them. Hannah and Parker got deluxe kites from the Easter Bunny and Olivia got a bucket of sand toys. (Plus lots of candy for everyone.)

The Easter Bunny even hid a basket for Mor mor and PA.
Church
We didn't take a lot of Easter (outfit) pictures because this is really how the kids felt about them. I love how Parker does the curtesy pose with his hand on Olivia. Olivia is frozen because she doesn't know what Parker's doing and Hannah is just plain done. Maybe next year we'll have better luck:)
After church, we put the ham in the oven for dinner and decided to go on a nature walk. Russ and I love this trail at Tahoe and wanted to show Mor mor and Pa our favorite walk (especially since it's a great place to take dogs).

At the end of the hike was a beautiful beach. Lucy had so much fun swimming and jumping in the lake. The kids even found a "secret" cave that they played in.
