We went to Colorado for Russ's family reunion the last week of June. Russ's parents rented a cabin for everyone to stay in that also had access to a private lake. We had such a good time with everyone! Parker and Hannah especially loved playing with all their cousins.
We spent the majority of our time at the cabin playing games and letting the cousins get to know each other. They loved playing laser tag, flying grandpa's airplane and shooting the BB gun (with supervision from Wynn, of course). Bette brought a life-size Chutes and Ladders game and made journals for all the grandkids to write and draw in. We spent time at the lake swimming and fishing and also visited the train museum in Durango.
The girls even managed to squeeze in a shopping trip to downtown Durango that was a lot of fun. We bought all the kids matching shirts which you'll see in more pictures below. Oh and you'll see several pictures with dogs in it. They wandered over from other cabins. Fortunately, they were friendly and the kids loved playing with them.
Grandkids
Russ and Reed helped the kids smile their very best by running around on piggy back.
Between Jen (Russ's sister) and I, we took a ton of pictures so here are a few picture collages showing all the fun things we did. If you click on it, it should magnify the pictures.Life-size Chutes and Ladders, BB gun target practice, smores, and journal writing
Airplanes, bubbles, laser gun and dogs
Swimming at the lake and fishing
Hanging out at the cabin
Train Museum and Picnic at the Park
On our way home from the train museum, we had to stop and take pictures of the beautiful scenery surrounding our cabin.
