The Drive
We traveled to New Mexico for Thanksgiving this year. It was an 18 hours trip (without stops) and took us 21 hours with a slight detour to Phoenix to visit Russ's brother. The kids actually did a great job with a few intense moments but nothing to complain about. We saw beautiful scenery throughout our drive. Below is a full rainbow.
Parker had a sweet set up. He was in the way back with our old laptop and had video games loaded on it plus could watch DVD's when he was done playing video games.

Hannah felt pretty cool holding the DVD player and watching any movie she wanted all by herself.
Hannah and I had fun playing with Olivia in the backseat between her naps.

We went to several fun restaurants and to an aquarium plus we went to the movies every night which was a nice treat.

My favorite part was the jellyfish. We couldn't get a great picture of them but you can see them floating around in the back ground.

We had a great time visiting Russ's parents. Russ's dad had a foam biplane called a slow bipe which was fun to watch fly.
We also played with a homemade rocket. Parker loved to launch it!

Hannah loved setting the table with Grandma Bette and did a great job!

Russ's cousins (Wendi and Keaton) joined us for Thanksgiving dinner which was delicious! Bette did a great job on everything!!

We celebrated Parker's birthday on Saturday by meeting up with my brother and his family passing through from their trip from Texas to Utah. We had lunch at the sopapilla factory which had the most scrumptious sopapillas (if anyone has a recipe for sopapillas let me know because I would love to learn how to make them). After visiting with everyone we headed down to the children's museum in Albuquerque. It was such a fun place!
