Virginia City

On Monday we went to Virginia City and walked around. We started the day off with a tour of the town and ended with shopping at the little shops. It was fun to step back into time and learn about the history of Mining
If you look closely at these houses you'll notice that the houses are only inches apart and the roofs overlap. According to the story, a man built the white house and when his sworn enemy heard about it he bought the property next door and built the red house as close as he could out of spite. He didn't want the man to enjoy any cool breezes or sunshine. Thus they are properly named "The Spite Houses." Tour Bus Picture
